In reference to the interview the Chairman & myself had with you on Friday last, we communicated the same day with the Yangtse Val- ley Company Limited, & I am now desired to inform you that we have this morning received a letter from that Company, dated yesterday, accepting the terms we had previously named to them, of which you & with which we are now perfectly satisfied.

This now removes all objection on our part to that Company, or a local Company formed by them, obtaining the concession for Electric Tramways in Hongkong.
